today i saw...

... a baby crawl out of the road into her compound as our LandCruiser rounded a corner in the village. we were not close to hitting her, but still it was a baby in the road! it was actually way cuter than it sounds, almost like something Maggie on the Simpsons would do. Except it was real life.

I also saw a little shepherd boy (they can start herding as young as 5 years), sitting in the shade of one of his cattle.

Sorry i didn't get pictures of those things; they happened too fast. These are the times when I wish i could print directly from my brain.

I do have this picture. We were assessig if we could cross it in the vehicle or if we would get stuck... we made it--our drivers are unbelievable!
