bed (on) head

Yesterday afternoon, standing at the kitchen sink that overlooks the street we live on, I saw a man carrying a bed down the sidewalk on his head. Too in awe to run for my camera, I did manage to shout out to my roommate to take a look (she can verify the spectacle). It was a full-sized, light-colored wood bed frame with head- and foot-board, and a thin foam mattress to cushion the load upon the man's head.

I have seen many things, very large loads, delicately balanced on various conveyance mechanisms--heads, bicycles, moto-taxis, overladed trucks--here in Rwanda, but never a bed upon a head.
